This is Chuckie. She lives in my sister’s backyard and has been there for four years. After the first year, Nikki noticed Chuckie was moving slowly. So, she spent over a hundred bucks to take a turtle to the vet. That was when Nikki learned Chuckie was a female turtle. But, the name stuck. Chuckie will even come to her when called.

Sugar-free is a red-ear slider we found by the East river which is not a proper habitat for him, so we released him into the Turtle Pond in Central park. (more)
