This is Chuckie. She lives in my sister’s backyard and has been there for four years. After the first year, Nikki noticed Chuckie was moving slowly. So, she spent over a hundred bucks to take a turtle to the vet. That was when Nikki learned Chuckie was a female turtle. But, the name stuck. Chuckie will even come to her when called.

We found a baby turtle in the pool last year. Kept it in the house for about six months, ’til he grew up. Finally released him last year.
