When it comes to turtles as pets may seem that they are all very similar, but there are actually several different types. Each species has its own characteristics, habits and needs. Some of the most characteristic differences between the types are the colors and markings of their shells. terrestrial turtles have different types of shells of sea turtles and aquatic turtles and tortoises base. The base of the skull, as a rule, lighter shells, less decals and softer than the land-type shell. Some of these animals have worms, and snails, so you should check on the recommended diet secific depending on the particular race turtle you have. They also need vitamins and minerals, and they can be added as a supplement to the food once or twice a week. As with any pet, you will learn their normal appearance and behavior, and can usually detect if something unusual If you suspect health problems early consultation with vetanarian recommended.
